Rocket knight Returns in Ig Maker

I tried to make a plat former game in game maker but it was so dam buggy and game maker was so complex I gave up it seemed every tutorial I came across insisted on using scripting instead of game makers gui system and I don't know if it is because I am dyslexic or what but as soon as they start to use scripts my brain just wont accept the information anyway when I was playing around with rpg maker I noticed a tool by enterbrain that let you make games without scripting so I downloading it and the tutorial right away after spending some time with the tool I have mixed feeling it is easy to put together a basic platformer but I don't know if the tool will let me do everything I want it to do plus it has almost no community or fan base everyone just says use game maker also if I put the game on fullscreen I cant take screen shots
